We have a unique career opportunity for an experienced and energetic Cake Decorator/Baker who has a natural eye for fine detail and a love for baking, flavours, decorating & confectionery to a very high standard.

Our homely cake shop in the heart of Victoria Park, Cardiff, offers hand-crafted, stylish buttercream cakes for any occasion.  We also serve delicious sweet & savoury brunch and have a counter filled with fresh cupcakes, cookies, macarons and other treats.

We offer:

• Full-Time role, 3 month probationary contract (extension to permanent reviewed after 2 months)

• Competitive salary (hourly pay)

• 35 min hrs per week (most likely 40-43 hours)

The ideal candidate must:

• Be dedicated to knowing our brand and product

• Ensure the products leaving our production are of the highest standard and quality

• Conduct themselves in a professional manner, even in stressful situations

• Be able to handle a high volume of orders coming in every day

• Be a team player – respectful and friendly to other team members

• Be willing to learn and work hard

• Have excellent spoken and written communication skills

• Have experience in cake decorating (buttercream cakes, cupcakes, macarons, cookies etc)

• Maintain and adhere to 5 star food hygiene standards (up to date level 2 food safety qualification desirable)

Job type: Full-time

Salary: £22,500 - £26,000 per year (dependant on experience)

​

Schedule:

• 4 x 10 hour shifts weekly, or 5 x 8 hour shifts

 

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cardiff, CF11 8DJ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

 

Experience:

• Professional Kitchen/Home Baking and Cake Decorating: 2 years (preferred)
