Pastry Chef

Hours: Full-Time (40hrs/week - Tue-Sat)
Department: Cakery 
Location: Let Them See Cake, Cardiff (CF5 1BE)

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef who has a natural eye for fine detail, a love for baking, flavours, decorating & confectionery and the ability to work in a team.

We are looking for someone who identifies with the Let Them See Cake ethos and style, and will translate this through their work ethic, values and high standards.

 

We are a small, close-knit team and we are searching for a positive, approachable personality with team spirit, can-do attitude and a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism and diligence.​​

At LTSC we are very proud of our cake collections, and the team takes great joy in constantly creating new flavours and designs to complement and enhance our seasonal offering. Our cakes are not only renowned for their delicious taste, but also for their exquisite handcrafted decorations, beautiful designs and exceptionally high finishing standards.

  • Full time, 3 month probationary contract (extension to permanent reviewed after 2 months)

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be dedicated to knowing our brand and product

  • Ensure the products leaving our production are of the highest standard and quality

  • Have excellent spoken & written communication skills

  • Maintain and adhere to 5* Food Hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Safety qualification is desirable)

  • Have the ability to commute reliably to work at Let Them See Cake in Cardiff (CF5 1BE)

  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner, even in stressful situations

  • Be able to handle high numbers of customers coming in every day

  • Be a team player who is respectful and friendly towards other team members

  • Be eager to learn and willing to work hard

Experience:

  • Cake decorating: buttercream cakes, cupcakes, macarons, cookies, etc (essential)

  • Professional kitchen: 2 years (desirable)

  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification (desirable)

FOH Assistant / Barista

Hours: Full-Time (40hrs/week Tue-Sun)
Department: Front of House
Location: Let Them See Cake, Cardiff (CF5 1BE)

We have a unique career opportunity for an energetic Front of House Assistant / Barista who has a natural eye for detail, a minimum of 1 year’s experience in hospitality, is Welsh-speaking, and who is organised and prepared to work both individually and as part of a team.

 

Let Them See Cake is a family-owned business built on a love and passion for our craft, and we believe that a team that loves what they do is able to create magic and something special. We are looking for someone who identifies with the Let Them See Cake ethos and style, and will translate this through their work ethic, values and high standards.

We have a unique career opportunity for a Weekend Front of House Assistant / Barista who has a natural eye for detail, a minimum of 1 year’s experience in hospitality, is Welsh-speaking, and who is organised and prepared to work both individually and as part of a team.
