Pudding Club: Nourish Cakes
Expert free-from baker and pastry chef, Marianne Stewart, will be hosting this special
workshop on nourishing, allergy-friendly cakes & desserts. As author of the healthy baking book, Nourish Cakes (publ. Quadrille, 2018), Marianne will show you how to put a celebratory spin on vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free desserts.
Using a few of her favourite recipes from the book, Marianne will take you through the process of making free-from desserts, showing you all the tips and tricks to get great results from vegan and gluten-free ingredients. The emphasis will be on using exciting, fresh and flavourful ingredients that pack a punch, so that it tastes better than any regular cake!
The workshop will be primarily demo-based to allow plenty of time for questions and to try out three different recipes. All desserts will be available to eat at the end of the workshop, but feel free to bring a small tupperware in case of any leftovers!

You will have the option to purchase a personalised, signed copy of Nourish Cakes at the workshop.

As a professionally trained and experienced pastry chef, Marianne is passionate about introducing others to her craft. She works as a baking & decorating tutor, food stylist and food writer.
Five years ago, when her sister was diagnosed as gluten-and dairy-intolerant, Marianne turned her hand to adjusting, tweaking and developing recipes her sister could enjoy, without having to compromise on quality or flavour.
She wrote her first baking book, Nourish Cakes (publ. Quadrille, 2018), to share the kinds of recipes that nourish the body as well as the soul. Her cake recipes cater for people with various dietary restrictions, whether vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, using more nutrient-rich and healthy ingredients.
With numerous recipes and cake projects in print, including Wedding Cakes, The Telegraph Magazine, Cakes & Sugarcraft and Vegan Living, she is a seasoned food writer and recipe developer.
Marianne also teaches classes at LetThemSeeCake, as well as regularly in Bristol, Somerset, Surrey, and abroad.
Pudding Club is held at LetThemSeeCake Shop & Classroom (entrance on Lansdowne Road). Public on-street car parking is available nearby but we cannot guarantee a parking space. There is a bus stop outside the Bakery, reachable by bus numbers 13, 17, 18, 64, X1 from Cardiff city centre.

The venue reserves the right to cancel or change the date of the event without notice, however as much contact will be sought with attendees and alternative dates will be found in this unlikely event.
Please make us aware of any special dietary requirements for refreshments at time of booking, note we use Wheat flour and Gluten is present throughout the bakery building.
Payment & Cancellation - Full payment is required at time of booking. Cancellation for any reason must be made at least 14 days prior to the event date for a full refund. A 50% refund can be obtained up until 7 days prior to the event date. For cancellations made within 7 days of the event date a single date transfer will be offered, but no refund will be available. Transfers must be used within 6 months of the original event date.
